ONE more example of youthful public thuggery in a world where action of the following is becoming very commonplace.
Whilst visiting (in a charitable capacity) a lonely, elderly person, youths gathering on a street corner came over and stared into the window of his house. Apparently they had thrown things at this window earlier in the day.
On leaving his house, obscenities were aimed at us, followed by one youth not only standing in front of the moving car, but hurling himself over the car bonnet, then chasing the vehicle down the road, banging on the passenger side window. This was not a pleasant experience, as we ourselves are also pensioners.
When spoke to, this yobbo then proceeded to bare his behind at us. I use this term youth' sparingly, knowing full well they are of tiny minds, but also believing they are so grown-up. There were six young people in the group, two of them young girls. These macho scum ran off when the police arrived.
What is the answer I wonder? Well, there should be no pussyfooting and more discipline administered. This could be one of the answers. The powers that be should deal with these youngsters before they commit more serious crimes.
Should we, as ratepayers, have to put up with this? We were both very shaken up by the experience.
