I WOULD like to correct the inaccuracies in the letter Bring back the green fields (LT, December 31).
The writer states that I suggested that the land off Brokenstones Road becomes residential, I have never suggested such an idea.
At the planning meeting I spoke and voted against the development.
In speaking against the development I said I had concerns if the application was passed with the site open eleven months of the year it could become residential, which was unacceptable.
Coun Alan Cottam also spoke at the planning meeting, and confirmed that the council was seeking to reintroduce this area as Green Belt in the emerging new area plan and hoped the area would be returned to green fields.
COUN DEREK HARDMAN, Livesey with Pleasington ward.
