MPs are correct in asking the BBC to be transparent in their accounting.
However, given the amount of whitewash splattered over cash for honours, MPs' expenses, party donations, junkets abroad on fact-finding beanos, pensions deemed far too good for the electorate to be awarded, one could be forgiven for being edged towards cynicism.
Not forgetting the lady sacked for doing too well in digging into the nooks and crannies of Parlia-mentary perks' standards and ethics. If only self-regulation was just that and not self protection.
