AS we learn that next year's arts in the park has effectively been cancelled, the reasons behind this decision baffle me!
I agree promoting integration is very important for a town like Blackburn, though I saw no problems with different people mixing at these events in recent years.
The second claim that Councillor Gordon's experience was marred by boozy people also does not ring true.
While there may have been isolated incidents, the overall behaviour of people of all ages was second to none.
What does get me though, is that the Darwen Live Festival will be held as normal with people drinking on the bus station! No problems there then?
The way this coalition controlled council continue its pro-Darwen agenda, I don't know why they don't go the whole hog and rename it Darwen with Blackburn or just simply Darwen Borough Council.
