I ALWAYS consider myself lucky to have wonderful water, here, on tap.
Therefore, it worries me that the We-know-best-for-you' brigade are again threatening to doctor the supply with fluoride.
If they cannot get the message of dental health across during antenatal, postnatal and pre-school care, maybe they ought to rethink the use of those ample opportunities instead of contemplating forced mass medication.
Rather than picking on United Utilities, why cannot they compel fizzy drink and sweet manufacturers to add fluoride to their products? At least, it would then be better targeted at the people who need it.
And, should the health authority succeed in polluting our water supply with this dubious chemical, are the resources in place to treat the increase in fluorosis?
