The postal service should be just that, a service. All the problems resulting in a strike are a result of changes being implemented as a result of a profit motive.
The hospitals, police and fire service provide a good service without the need to make money, so why can't we have a postal service in a similar vein?
We already have closures of rural post offices, which provide the heartbeat in many villages because they lose money, but they do provide a valuable service and you can't put a price on that.
And while we're at it, let's bring back public transport. Surely someone out there could do a good job for us all.
