A woman killed herself recently because she had received a big bill in error from a debt collector. The bill was said to be for £16,000.
With bills being spewed out by modern technology at an alarming rate, such tragedies will happen.
The debt collecting companies need to be very efficient. Perhaps "caring" is too much to ask for.
People who are distressed should contact the Samaritans or the Citizens Advice Bureau. The police don't do social work.
