I AM writing in the hope readers may be able to help in my search for anyone who is related to Absolom Carter.
Descendants of Absolom Carter, the child of Esau Carter and Catherine Yates, was born Blackpool mid 1800s, he married Alice Whalley, cir.1870s, at St Thomas Church Blackburn and they had ten children, five girls and five boys; Agnes, Helena, Dorothy, Catherine (named after Absalom's mother), Jane, Walter, Esau (named after Absalom's father) John (named after his brother) Thomas and Walter. After their marriage the family lived in, Ivy Street, Alaska Street and Morley Street, Blackburn.
Walter, his wife and two sons, emigrated to America in 1925, his last address, given to the immigration authorities, was Proctor Street, Blackburn.
I am trying to assist John Carter, grandson of Walter, who was the ninth born child of Absolom and Alice. John's father, born in America, is Walter's third, and last son.
If you are descended from the above would you please contact me.
