I am an expatriate 76-year-old, Rovers supporter - since 1938. I was a regular attendee at games home and away until I emigrated with my family some years ago.

I still follow the fortunes of Blackburn - avidly.

It is distressing to read some of the comments written in the comments' sections of the Telegraph.

First of all I would like to comment adversely about the numb-skulls who think the comment pages in the many sports sections of the LT are merely to slag off' another team's supporters.

When this addle-headed nonsense is carried over, to a sincere and genuine subject such as the loss of a man's job, then things have gone too far.

Those who use this section to further their own imbecilic thoughts and wishes, are demonstratively in need of a major lobotomy. Clearly, they are not using what small brain they claim to possess!

As for the sad and seriously short-sighted actions of the pathetic airline in question, they need to question their mental acumen if they think the actions of their pilot, when dealing with passenger Robbie Savage on an (apparently) chartered plane, were wrong. The pilot was merely engaging in clearly considered public relations.

He does not deserve to be censured.

If things remain the same, it might be prudent for all people and organisations to consider shunning My Travel Airways until Captain Pablo Mason is re-instated.
