WE went to an Age Concern show at King George's Hall and fire service personnel said we could have our home checked, fire and safety wise. They said it was free.
Thursday night a team from Blackburn arrived, they were polite and well mannered, put us at ease.
We thought our fire alarms were right. No, they were in the wrong place. The crew put two new ones in. One gentleman checked plugs, keys, exits and, explained in detail should a fire occur, what to do.
His last advice was don't panic, we will rescue you'. Everyone should take advantage of this service. Thank you Lancashire Fire Service.
Thank you gentlemen.
