I READ with some concern the report on the condition of the graves in Pleasington Cemetery, but I disagree with the solution put forward.
The answer is simple. If the fault was caused by the local authority in the first place, the respons-ibility rests with Blackburn with Darwen Council (by its failure to use "proper" cement) and not with the individual grave owners who paid for a "proper" job to be done.
I advise any person adversely affected to join together and seek the services of a lawyer with a view to initiating court proceedings.
