COUNCILLOR Salim Mulla omits to state in his letter that he is a Labour councillor. And saying that he did not agree with this war does NOT give him a get out of jail card'. His party, his guilt.
Whether or not we agree with the war is academic. It is our men and women of the armed forces who are putting their lives on the line every day in the hope that they will, some time in the future, be making the lives better for these people.
Liberal Democrats were the only party that did not vote for this war.
On another point it has been disclosed that Hazel Blears and Ivan Lewis "dodged NHS closures on their doorsteps".
It's a pity that we do not have any MPs in this area with this kind of clout, to stop what is happening to hospitals in Blackburn and Burnley.
