A FEW weeks ago I asked my local councillor why Sparth Road, Clayton-le-Moors had not been resurfaced when it services several old people's homes, sheltered accommodation, a school and five housing estates.
To his credit he came to see me to explain. The reason is no money.
This being the case, I was glad to see that on August 1 we had hanging baskets placed along Sparth Road! Thank you for spending my money so wisely.
