With reference to your story and website video about the teenager who filmed himself driving at 140mph.

Assuming the criminal has the presence of mind to film it, could the Telegraph publish a list of criminal acts it deems fit to play on its website and which it does not?

Would you have shown a video of an old lady being mugged?

I merely ask for information on where the line is being drawn.

Editor's footnote: Our role is to report the news, good and bad, in the same way that TV shows film of war and crime scenes on a daily basis in both news bulletins and programmes like Crimewatch.

We are not in any way glorifying what the offender did in this case. In fact the first paragraph of our story described his actions as "reckless and stupid."
