I WAS listening with interest on local radio and the presenter and guest more or less said they don’t watch the English national team when they play on TV as they are boring, negative and scared of playing attractive football.

Roy Hodgson is like all the other managers, too cautious and sets his team out not to lose.

Harry Kane, the Tottenham striker, only played 20 minutes or so against the ‘feared’ Lithuania. He scored after 80 seconds, but he should have started the game.

We will probably qualify for Euro 2016 in France but when we get there he will set us up not to lose games. We will never achieve anything with negative approaches to games.

The same will happen in France as did in Brazil.
