MANY readers will be aware of national litter picking days over recent weekends as part of the Keep BritainTidy initiatives.

Let’s try harder to keep our lovely towns cleaner by binning our rubbish. How many energy drink and water bottles were picked up from runners discarding these over the walls of our country lanes? How many dog owners bag but don’t bin and even throw the full package into a tree? Okay it’s the minority but please think before irresponsible disposal of any kind of detritus… and if necessary take it home.
