WE INVITE outdoor enthusiasts to join us on an exhilarating but scenic adventure to help conquer meningitis.
Meningitis Now’s Trek the Lake District challenge takes on eight peaks including Scafell Pike, in just two days of walking.
It’s not a challenge for the faint-hearted and will push walkers to their limits, but those taking part will achieve an enormous amount of satisfaction from completing the challenge while enjoying the beauty of the Lake District and helping us in our fight to beat meningitis.
The trek takes place between June 4 and 7. There is a registration fee of £75 and a pledge to raise sponsorship of £600.
Our events team takes care of all travel between the peaks, food and accommodation arrangements and is on hand to help with fundraising ideas and fitness and training tips.
All proceeds go towards Meningitis Now’s work on vaccine and preventative research, raising awareness and supporting those fighting back from the disease.
