RE: Blackburn Museum's special First World War exhibition.
Around 800 000 British service personnel died in the First World War, along with more than 200 000 from other parts of the British Empire.
Overall, around 15 million people are thought to have died in the First World War.
Lest we forget.
ExcludedAgain Great idea, let us not forget the sacrifice these young men and women made in that most dreadful war, very few Blackburn families at the time were untouched by it.
Three great uncles of mine were killed so unfortunately I never met them, but luckily their brother, my grandfather, survived the carnage that was WW1.
