The decision arrived at in Liverpool Crown Court by 12 good men and true on the criminal solicitor Basharat Ditta was fully justified.
It brings a stop to the absolute nonsense of Ditta appearing in Blackburn with Darwen Magistrates Court as he has been doing up until recently. He was allowed to make a mockery of the judicial system, knowing full well that he was defending clients when he himself had a criminal record from over 12 months previously.
Defending Ditta, Simon Csoka QC said “he now faces being struck off”. He should have faced this decision over 12 months ago so that this farcical and tragic situation in our courts of law did not take place.
