Re ‘Ribble Valley Hallowe’en experience bosses defend attraction’ (LT, October 19).
Everyone has different tastes in ALL things, whilst this isn't something I'd go to, I'm quite sure it serves its purpose for those that do and that's fair enough.
The venue clearly explains what you'll be on the receiving end of and you sign a disclaimer... it's not set up in a public place, you make a choice about going, it's for over 18's (that's MEN and WOMEN), you have to pay or you don't get... forgive me but how on earth can a rape charity make any comparison?
Last I heard rapists gave no consideration whatsoever prior to carrying out their truly heinous crime.
Society can't survive without charities such as Rape Crisis but they can't expect civilised, rational and intelligent people to not indulge in what 'floats their boats' because there are some weak links in the chain who can't see something for what it is.
