WITH regards to the ongoing debate re the proposed new Darwen Leisure Centre. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that the site for the centre is too small for all the facilities requested by the people of Darwen.
Excuse me. I am not an architect but have they not heard of multi-floored buildings, ie you put one floor on top of another thereby getting more space without increasing the footprint of the building, hardly rocket science.
You could even incorporate an indoor car park within the building, thereby alleviating the shortage of parking. Just an idea, but possibly already thought of and discarded.
