WE would like to register our objections to the proposed opening of a late shop off-licence department at the Oak Tree public house.
The over indulging of alcohol is the main reason for most of the trouble in our society, not to mention the health of the drinkers themselves, we find it amazing that the Co-op with its so-called ethical outlook, should stoop to this money-making venture.
We had planned to do our weekly shopping at the new store in Livesey Branch Road. That is not an option now.
