It’s very rarely that roads cause accidents. More often than not it’s down to an extremely poor standard of driving by at least one of the participants.
It’s not always young/ new drivers, either. There are some very poor standards displayed by people who have been driving for years and should know better.
It’s high time all drivers were re-assessed every 10 years before they can be issued with a new photocard licence (which should be renewed every 10 years anyway).
Old-style paper licences should also be replaced by photocard ones.
