I AM not so sure that there is a shortage of houses.
Looking through the newspapers, there are hundreds of homes for sale.
Is the problem not a shortage of people who have a secure job and are brave enough to buy a house, or change to a bigger, better one?
If you are worried about losing your job, you are not going to take on the worry of having to move, and maybe have to pay a larger mortgage, are you?
After all, East Lancashire is not the richest area of the UK. If there is an issue of a shortage of houses, should we not look at the immigration policies of the past and present governments, which are allowing virtually unrestricted numbers of people into the country?
