What the bedroom tax has shown is that half the country thinks they are owed a living.
I was brought up to only get what I work for. Why should we taxpayers work to pay for these extra rooms? There is the odd exception where it is needed but the majority are work-shy.
And benefits cover the £12.50 a week if you need the extra room – just stop the cigs and booze.
