IN response to your front-page story on hospital staff shortages (LT, July 23) – the coalition on day one said the nhs had to save £20billion, yet they expected the service to carry on regardless.
It will take an MP to die at one of these hospitals due to staff shortages before things will be changed.
I wonder if the people who resigned will be re-employed in the NHS somewhere else.
We need proper trained staff on full-time contracts employed directly by the hospital.
Who wants a zero-hours contract? This is how the coalition like it – people queueing up for a day’s work.
If ever there needed to have a campaign of civil disobedience, it is now.
