There is so much intolerance from the religious community.

I am blinded by the fact that religion and faith oppresses homosexuality.

Deep down, it isn’t about marriage; the church, the mosques, the synagogues just disagree with the fact that this is going to happen.

But ask yourself this: does it really affect you? Are you really going to lose sleep at night because two men or two women can live their lives happily together knowing that they aren’t treated any different from a man and woman who are married?

Regardless of your faith, can you not imagine a world where everyone lives together and is tolerant of one another?

Can’t you be happy that we can live in a society where each person is treated as an individual and they are respected for who they are?

And can’t any member of the Christian faith see that your church/religion will be heralded as a loving organisation if you were to vocally accept your fellow man?

Because right now the church is just seen as a bigoted, homophobic organisation (regardless of what your feelings and views are, that’s just how it comes across).

And if that’s not enough, could someone please let me know what Jesus himself said on homosexuality?
