Travellers move from private land to council land and “it usually takes a couple of weeks” to sort out because they have to get a court order.
This sums up what is wrong with the majority of our overpaid and underworked public servants – two weeks to get a court order!
The solution is simple to move on a bunch of trespassers. If this was run by the private sector, there would be a form with blanks to fill in the current date, location, problem, and a space for a signature.
This would be passed to an official who would ratify it and grant powers.
This could be completed in a morning, never mind two weeks. It’s pathetic.
