RE East Lancashire hospital bosses being told to stop discharging patients in the middle of the night – you have to go home because they want the bed!
It’s yet another example of how the NHS cannot cope with the rise in population.
Because of the lack of a control on immigration thanks to Blair, and still out of control with the present government, we have more and more people coming into the country, many of whom are young so they are still able to have children.
Also, people are living longer because of better treatment and medicine.
It’s not just about throwing more money at the NHS – for a start, we don’t have a lot of money available. The plain fact is that the UK has too large a population.
The hospitals, schools and housing in parts of the country just cannot cope.
There are also over one million people waiting to come in, from Bulgaria and Romania next January. So things are going to get even worse as regards the NHS. The wait to see a doctor or consultant will increase and you will wait even longer for an operation.
In short, the NHS is not able to cope, unless you are an MP or the Prime Minister, in which case you have the money to pay for a private health service.
Then you don’t worry about the NHS because you don’t have to use it.
