YOUR headline asked the question ‘Is time running out for iconic market clock?’ (LT, July 4).
This clock is hardly iconic. It has far too much plastic.
Now if you want to call the original old market clock iconic, then that would be more fitting wouldn’t you say?
Words like this are over-used and are not applicable most of the time.
While I am at it, why do we say ‘listen up’ and ‘awesome’ and ‘no worries’? Let’s keep our own language and stop pinching stuff from the Yanks and Aussies. It really gets on my nerves!
