RE ‘Bring back Blackburn bus service!’, LT, June 21, the early morning bus stops outside where I live, and you would be lucky to see 10 people on it, with even fewer in the evening and an odd two or three on a Sunday. That said, if the bus only ran four times per day, on weekdays, it would take the kids to school, shoppers into town, bringing them home for lunch, with another afternoon shopping trip and finally bring the kids home.
That would fulfil the criteria of the bus company – get the kids safely to and from school and keep the residents (who are voters) content.
How hard can it be for public servants to provide a public service for the people in this end of the town?
It’s not like it’s organising a trip to the moon, is it?
