Wherever the ash dieback outbreak is, the Forrestry Commission needs to be absolutely transparent about the location.
We should have learned our lessons from outbreaks such as Foot and Mouth and the current Bovine TB.
The fact is that without understanding fully how these things are spread, we should be taking all precautions to prevent it, including keeping people and dogs out of infected areas.
If we know, we can all help and spot new outbreaks sooner. There are 60 million pairs of eyes out there. Let us use them.
