Hollie Steel has failed in her quest to win Britain’s Got Talent tonight - despite putting in a fantastic performance.
Street dancers Diversity are celebrating a shock victory over singer Hollie and favourite Susan Boyle in the ITV variety contest final.
The group's performance scooped them £100,000 last night and a spot in the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen.
Hollie, of Huncoat, a pupil at Oakhill College in Whalley, won praise from the judges for her performance of Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the Opera.
Hollie, who grew up in Burnley, had broken down in tears through nerves in the semi-final before bravely taking to the stage for a flawless second performance.
But she sailed through tonight's song with no problems.
