A SINGER from Edgworth wowed X-Factor judges when she was given a ‘yes’ from all three panellists and a ticket to boot camp.
Amy Louise Aldred, 21, appeared at the Manchester auditions in front of Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell, guest judge Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and a live audience.
It proved to be third time lucky for the Bolton University student, who previously auditioned in 2006 as part of a girl group, Rio, and in 2008 made it through on her own but had to drop out as her dad was ill.
Amy, who sang ‘I Do Not Hook Up’ by Kelly Clarkson, said: “I auditioned in 2006, which is when Sharon Osborne was a judge. We didn’t get through, we weren’t ready.
“It’s been a difficult few years, but I auditioned again this year and went to boot camp which has been amazing.”
Viewers will be able to see how she did at boot camp on The X-Factor on Saturday and Sunday on ITV1.
