CANCER battler Sam Shaw was expected to start his final round of treatment in the United States today.
The four-year-old battler, from Hoddlesden will have 14 daily injections of immunotherapy in his fight against neuroblastoma.
His mother, Christine, said the family plans to return to their Glencoe Avenue home on Sunday, March 9, four days after the youngster’s fifth birthday.
Little Sam will then receive the final round of treatment at home, with chemicals which will be administered orally.
Mrs Shaw said: “Sam is counting down the days until he returns home.
“He simply can’t to see his family and play with his friends.”
