HISTORY MAKERS Turton Tower was bathed in sunshine and khaki for a 1940s wartime event.
The weekend of history included military vehicles, a US medic display and airborne equipment, while many who attended the event dressed as Tommies.
Also there was the French resistance, a German encampment and informative talks.
The event at the 15th century building was organised by Brenda Lee, Tony Lee and Hanif Patel.
Above, Sam Cole gets a feel for combat life in the 1940s. Left, Sgt Dave Cole and Cpl Lee Stevens.
