THE Barlow Institute in Bolton Road, Edgworth, will host a folk festival packed with activities and entertainment.
The event runs from Friday to Sunday, October 11 to 13.
The programme will include a Friday night ceilidh with dance displays, Saturday and Sunday concerts, instrument and voice workshops, plus singing and music sessions throughout the weekend focusing on different styles and themes.
The concerts feature some of the top acts on the North West folk scene, including Trio Threlfall, Mark Dowding, Peter and Barbara Snape, Caffrey/McGurk, Bandersnatch, Sid Calderbank, Reel Gentlemen, Nick Dow and the Saggy Bottom Girls, with more artists to be announced soon.
The Barlow Institute is run by volunteers and the event will generate income to help ensure its future survival as a self-funding charity.
