Cyclists from The Barlow Institute, Edgworth, are to raise charity cash in memory of a local Naval officer who died last year.
Chief Petty Officer Michelle Hewitt died of ovarian cancer on September 24 last year, aged 49.
Michelle, daughter of Edgworth councillors Jean and Colin Rigby, had battled the disease for four years.
Bosses at the community centre are looking to put a team together to cycle to John O’Groats and back over the weekend of June 7 to 9.
Money raised from the challenge will be donated to Bolton Hospice and The Royal Marines.
Anyone wishing to help can call The Barlow Institute on 01204 852216 or email the turtonjogelejog@gmail.com.
