RAIN didn't dampen the spirits as hundreds of people soaked up the fun at Turton Fair yesterday.
Families spent the Bank Holiday enjoying a Punch and Judy Show, llama trekking and maypole dancing in the courtyard.
The grounds of historic Turton Tower were split into various sections including tea room area, children's area and dog show field where crowds gathered to watch a wacky dog fancy dress show.
Other attractions included a parade with Bourbon Street Roof Raisers Jazz Band and a tug-o-war.
Martin Eden, director of leisure at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, opened the fair and the town crier was in fine voice announcing events during the day.
