LEAGUE of Gentlemen star Steve Pemberton is set to create a new TV series with his long-time writing partner Reece Shearsmith.
The Chorley-born actor revealed he and Shearsmith plan to write a new project in the next few weeks.
The 44-year-old, who attended St Michael’s High School, is currently starring in She Stoops to Conquer at London’s National Theatre, while Shearsmith is appearing in Absent Friends at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
Pemberton, whose mother Margaret lives in Euxton, said: “Reece and I have a very good writing partnership and we’re about to start writing a new show.
“We don’t know what it will be yet. We’ve just decided, because he’s doing a show and I’m doing a show, when those plays are up and running, we’ll have our days free and we’re going to sit down and see what pops into our heads.
“In the League of Gentlemen, there were two writing partnerships and I always wrote with Reece.”
