FOUR members of the Buckshaw Youth Association were given a snooker lesson by six-times World Champion Steve Davis.
Anthony Tracey, Louie Seddon, Nathaniel McMaster and Dylan Makinson represented the Buckshaw youth group at Lancashire County Council's Young People's Service event held at Squires Snooker Club in Lancaster last weekend.
The trip was organised by local councillor Mark Perks, who is chairman of the youth association, and fellow trustees Paul Thomas and Phil Harrison.
The group were also presented with a 6ft snooker table and equipment donated by the Paul Hunter Foundation, which is promoted in Lancashire by Chris Lovell.
Coun Mark Perks said: “It was a fantastic day and not many young people can claim to have had a master class session with a six times World Champion have their photo taken with him and receive a signed cue.
“The donation of a snooker table for our youth association was a brilliant and much appreciated gift.
“It will add to the activities we can offer young people attending our Friday club nights held at the community centre.”
