Two metal-detecting arches were installed at Chorley Interchange on Friday evening in a bid to fight knife crime.
During the operation, codenamed Carriage, 688 people passed through the arches and 14 were issued with stop and search forms by police after the detector was activated.
One person was cautioned after being found in possession of a small 2ins blade.
The arches are to be installed temporarily at various locations in the borough in coming weeks.
