Dozens of local businesses are making use of valuable networking and financial advice after another successful event to support enterprising firms.

The Business Network Event organised by the Chorley, Preston and South Ribble Partnerships alongside Lancashire County Developments Ltd and Business Link was hailed a success with more than 160 people attending.

Councillor Peter Malpas, Chorley Council’s executive member (business), said: “This is a really good event and we’re delighted that so many businesses got involved. It’s something we’ve done for the last few years and it seems to get bigger and better every time.

“The local businesses that attended picked up some valuable advice, which can only help to progress their business and the feedback has been extremely positive.

“They also got the opportunity to share ideas, meet with other local business people and learn how networking can help a business to grow. It’s important for businesses to know that there are people on hand to offer them advice and this event clearly demonstrates that.”

This year’s event was sponsored by Chorley, South Ribble and Preston Councils; Lancashire County Developments Ltd and Business Link. It focused on the benefits of networking and included interactive advice from a renowned networking training house called Green Banana.
