Paralympian Heather Frederiksen presented children at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Chorley with an Olympic flag signed by Team GB.
The swimming champion proudly showed the children her medals from competing in the Beijing Paralympics.
Heather won one gold, two silver and one bronze, breaking the world record in the 100 metre backstroke event.
As well as the flag, Heather presented the school with an official mascot and some petals from the closing ceremony.
The children asked her questions about her experiences in Beijing and got an insight into the commitment required to be part of Team GB.
They presented Heather with a congratulations card which the whole school had contributed to and a St Joseph’s gold medal.
