A MAN was found hanged in Chorley’s Astley Park on Saturday, police have confirmed.
The body of a 33-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was discovered at around 2.45pm when the park was busy with families and walkers.
Police officers were seen sprinting towards the scene, in the main wooded area of the park, shortly after the alarm was raised.
Paramedics attended but the man could not be revived.
A police spokesman said: “The 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
