A HERO firefighter from Chorley who had to retire after being injured while tackling a blaze that killed two people has had his favourite beer bottled to give to his friends.
Steve Morris, who was badly burned in a house fire, invited more than 100 former colleagues to a retirement bash at the Brewhouse pub on Blackburn Road, Bolton.
The beer served, brewed by Dunscar Bridge Brewery, was bottled in a label that read ‘Ste’s BA Set’ and was presented as gifts to those who had supported Steve in the aftermath of the fatal fire.
A second batch was given to him to enjoy.
