A MAN has been found dead in Chorley town centre.
Lancashire police said they received a call at 5.30pm from a member of the public who had spotted the man’s body slumped among bushes in Cambridge Street.
Neighbourhood police were sent to the scene and Chorley CID has been informed.
The surrounding area, including George Street, has been sealed off while officers investigate.
The man has yet to be identified.
Police said it was too early to speculate on the cause of death, but that there was nothing to suggest suspicious activity at this stage.
