Businesses that are looking to become more environmentally responsible are invited to join Chamber Low Carbon’s latest briefing.
The Chamber Low Carbon Policy Briefing, in partnership with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, takes place from 8-30am to 12 noon on Tuesday, 30th October 2018, at the Preston Marriot Hotel.
This event will provide an expert overview of various government policies and strategies on the environmental agenda to help businesses understand what might affect them and how they can take positive action.
The briefing will be presented by Martin Baxter, Executive Director Policy, IEMA with members of the Chamber Low Carbon team on hand to discuss the support and funding available through the Chamber Low Carbon programme.
Stephen Sykes, Chamber Low Carbon Programme Manager, said: “Guests attending the event will gain an insight into proposals for extending mandatory carbon and energy reporting to all large companies, the Government’s forthcoming resources and waste strategy, proposals for making biodiversity net gain a requirement for new developments and more.
“Martin works in the UK and internationally to support the transition to a low carbon, resource efficient and sustainable economy, so he is very well placed to answer questions and concerns any business may have in these areas.”
