Whalley & District Lions Club were delighted to present their first cheque of £350 to Whalley Community First Responders. This will help the First Responders to buy essential kit to assist them in their important work within a rural community. The First Responders rely on volunteers and donations. The cheque was handed over to Gordon Fishlock and Linda Middleton from Whalley Community First Responders
The funds were raised with thanks to the Accrington and Bolton Lions who held a stall on Pickwick Night.
The Whalley & District Lions group now has 18 members and needs just two more members to be a fully Independent Lions Charter. Please contact us through Facebook to find out more or attend a meeting at The Delacy 2nd Monday of the month 7.30pm
