The cream of the county’s tourism businesses are counting down to the prestigious Lancashire Tourism Awards.
Among those shortlisted is the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa; the 4 star venue is vying for the title “Large Hotel of the Year”. Dating back to the 14th century, this former manor house in Clayton-le-Moors is famous for combining historic splendour with chic, modern facilities including wi-fi, pool, spa and gym.
“It’s a real honour to be chosen - and of course we’d love to win!” says the hotel’s manager Ivan Lynch.” It would be the perfect reward for all the hard work our team have put in this year.”
Host for the evening will be journalist and broadcaster John Sergeant and it promises to be a fabulous evening for all concerned.
The awards are billed as a celebration of Lancashire’s tourism superstars and are being held at Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Thursday 6th November.
